THREE WAYS TO TOP UP

Power, with
more options.

Charge by USB at home, use the folding hand crank for a manual boost, or let the solar panel collect daylight. Three charging methods give you more ways to keep the essentials going.

Charge up before you head out.

Use the supplied charging cable to replenish the 2000mAh battery. A USB charge takes approximately 3–4 hours.

A little effort. Useful backup.

Unfold the crank when you need a manual top-up. One minute of cranking provides approximately 30 minutes of light or four minutes of radio at moderate volume.

Let daylight lend a hand.

The built-in solar panel offers a slow backup top-up. A full solar charge takes around 100–130 hours, so use USB when you need a quicker charge.

Charging and operating times vary with conditions and use.

TUNE IN, WHEREVER YOU SET DOWN

Simple controls.
Familiar broadcasts.

Turn the tuning dial to find an AM or FM station, extend the antenna and set the volume with the separate power-and-volume dial. An analogue tuning window keeps the station scale easy to see.

The built-in speaker lets you listen without headphones. A full battery provides around 20 hours of radio at moderate volume.

Weather-band reception

The weather band covers 162.400–162.550MHz. Reception requires a local service broadcasting on those frequencies; available weather broadcasts vary by region.

SMALL EVERYDAY ESSENTIALS

A torch.
A useful reserve.

The built-in LED torch puts light close at hand, whether you are finding something after dark or moving around during a power cut. It can run for around 10 hours from a full charge.

A 5V 1A USB output can supply compatible small devices. Keep it as a convenient reserve for when a nearby power socket is not an option.

Charging & use

The built‑in 2000mAh lithium‑ion battery can be charged by USB, solar panel or hand crank, and the unit can also charge phones and small devices via its USB port. Charging and discharge protection is built in — the output stops on overload or short circuit and the device will shut down when battery voltage is very low.
